As we noted in our last post, the scripture exhorts us to be thankful.
“in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
As we continue to look at reasons for thankfulness, let us reflect on the Father’s goodness, mercy, love, grace, provision, faithfulness, long suffering, and kindness towards us.
" Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving...."Psalms 95:2
Let’s continue to give thanks!
Thank You, Heavenly Father Because…
1. Jesus lives and I shall also live with Him. John 14:19
2. The Comforter, the Holy Spirit teaches me all things. John 14:26
3. The love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit. Romans 5:5
4. I am joined to the Lord. 1 Corinthians 6:17
5. I am a citizen of the Kingdom of God. Ephesians 2:19
6. I have abundant life through Jesus Christ. John 10:10b
7. I have an unction from the Holy One. 1 John 2:20
8. I have an anointing from You that teaches me all things. 1 John 2:27
9. You work in me to will and do Your good pleasure. Philippians 2:13
10.No weapon formed against me shall prosper. Isaiah 54:17
The list of 125 thanksgiving targets we have provided in these last two posts is by no means an exhaustive one, but a starting point to stir you to deeper worship and thanksgiving to God.
Not only do we thank the Father for these promises, but also for the ‘little’ things He does for us each day. As we reflect on them, it should move our faith and awe of God to a higher level.
The psalmist was aware of the endless works of the Lord and declared:
Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Psalms 103:2
Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? Who can declare all His praise? Psalms 106:2
Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works! Psalms 105:2
Let us be especially thankful during this season as we reflect upon the goodness of our God and Jesus Christ our Savior, who came into the world to redeem us and bring us to God.
Until next time, may God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ richly bless and keep you.
