In two days, we will celebrate “Father’s Day.” A time when we honor our fathers and let them know we love, esteem, and appreciate them and their contribution to the family. According to my Google research, Father's Day originated in the United States, with the first statewide celebration held on June 19, 1910, in Spokane, Washington.

It has been awhile since we lasted posted a new blog, but this week I sensed the 'Weekly Thoughts' message my friend John Fenn posted today on https://churchwithoutwallsinternational.org/ was a message the Father wanted me to share. It resonated with me and I believe it will resonate with anyone wanting to walk pleasing to the Lord.

Being fully surrendered to God is not a one and done decision, though it begins with a conscious determination and willful choice to be dedicated and lovingly abandoned to Him and His will. Like any other commitment in life, it requires daily and continual focus and intentional determination and yielding.

As we near the celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we have no better example of a surrendered life than His. Jesus’ whole focus in life was to fulfill the will of the Father. He was not here to gain popularity, get rich, live a comfortable life that avoided conflict, suffering or hardships. He was completely surrendered to accomplish His ordained purpose.
