Come Before His Presence With Thanksgiving

As we celebrate Thanksgiving Day (here in the USA), I felt it would be good to list several blessings for which we can be thankful. At times, when we are going through challenging times, it can be challenging to remember to be thankful. We often are tempted to focus on what we do not have and forget the many blessings God has promised and provided. The scripture exhorts us to be thankful in all things.

“in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18

This passage does not say to be thankful for everything. It says, in everything give thanks,” which is vastly different. In the midst of our darkest hour we can give thanks that our Heavenly Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ will be with us.

Thankfulness is our best posture for true worship and adoration.

" Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving...."Psalms 95:2

Once we begin to focus on being thankful, it changes our outcome on life. It can even rearrange our circumstances to line up to God’s perfect will for our lives. By being thankful, we turn our attention to the goodness of God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Are you ready to give thanks? Let’s go!
